AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): A tribal man, 40 years old tried to commit suicide by consuming poison. He is currently undergoing treatment at GBP Hospital. The incident took place on the banks of Khowai River in Mog Bari area under Teliamura PS.

It is known that a resident of Brahmachara area and Bangiyo Mug left the house without informing the people of the house on Thursday. The people of the house kept looking for the house all day long but could not trace him. Later, Teliamura PS Police found him lying unconscious on the banks of river Khowai in Mokbari area.

Later, the family was informed, on hearing the news the family members brought him to the Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital. But due to the lack of medical services, the Doctor on duty at the hospital, Deepa Das sent him to GBP Hospital for better treatment.

However, why he tried to kill himself not yet known but it is feared that the person tried to commit suicide due to family quarrel.
