The rally of CPI-M was attacked by BJP which has turned a common tradition since 2018. Any opposition program from Trinamool to CPI-M as if BJP is licensed to attack and police do not take action. After five years of Govt, when around 20 to 25 political murders took places, thousands of people’s houses, properties were burnt by the ruling party and oppositions’ programs are attacked in broad daylight, opposition parties via media told police that they will go in self-defence if police can’t protect.

As soon as counter-attacks by opposition started now police find the situation going out of control. Under BJP Govt opposition party headquarters, media houses were attacked on camera where BJP workers are seen vandalizing, setting fire in properties but police, crime branch supressed the cases.

Sources said, CPI-M to move High Court in Sahid Mia murder case if the main culprits are not arrested.

A complaint was lodged against Police’s illegal activity by seizing murdered CPI-M minority leader Sahid Mia’s dead body at GB hospital after post mortem. Sahid Mia was murdered by BJP workers in broad daylight in Charilam on yesterday when CPI-M was conducting a peaceful rally and BJP started unprovoked clash, and bombed the area. After post mortem, police did not allow family to take his body. Khurshid Mia has lodged a complaint to the DGP regarding this.

It was also alleged that Police lathi-charged on Sahid Mia’s family members at GB hospital and snatched the dead body.

CPI-M in protest gheraoed Police Headquarter. However, later police were bound to handover the dead body.

CPI-M informed if action against the culprit police officials is not taken, then CPI-M again will go on protest.
