AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury slammed Tripura BJP over its report card where it claimed that the following works were completed by the Govt in 5 years. Addressing media, CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury said, “This is not at all a report card but it will turn as BJP’s regret card. I am not pointing at all claims of BJP but let's talk about some of them. Earlier in 2018 with fake promises BJP came to power and now again with lies, the BJP is trying to pass the upcoming poll. BJP released documents with data whereas the data itself is fake. BJP claimed house to house water has been supplied through pipelines. Yes to arrange commission for the contractors in limited places water pipes were given but no water reached there. BJP’s fake claims have been exposed with various ongoing protests against water scarcity by women with water buckets in hands”.

Pointing another claim of BJP that 660 km road was constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Jojona, Chowdhury said it is totally a false statement.

Jitendra Chowdhury said, “Instead of road construction, BJP Govt has damaged the existing roads by not repairing, maintaining”.

“Development is only seen when Homra-Chomra public of BJP is seen with Inova and SUV cars. People will give reply to the insults in 2023 Election”, said Jitendra Chowdhury.

“BJP should read out its Vision Document one by one and clarify what is the status of those promises”, said Jitendra Chowdhury.

Apart from CPI-M, other parties of the Left-Front were present in the press meet.
