AGARTALA, Nov 25 (TIWN): The violence of bandits is increasing in the entire state which is depleting the forest covers. On one side Uncontrollable drug smuggling has gripped the state and on the other side increasing timber smuggling in the state made it exhausted. Again a huge amount of wood logs was seized by Teliamura Forest department personnel late on Thursday night while smuggling based on secret sources information.

The Teliamura Forest department personnel successfully seized the illegal smuggling woods but the smuggler escaped from Forest department personnel’s hand.

The vehicle was detained on Ganganagar Road under Teliamura Sub-Divisional Forest Department while the vehicle was heading towards Ganganagar from Harinapara. Around Rs 5 lakhs of wood was seized, said an official of the Forest Department.
