BELONIA, Nov 7 (TIWN): A shopkeeper was attacked in Belonia College Squad area after he refused to pay Rs. 50,000 to the BJP workers.
Shop owner Ashok Manjumder alleged that his son is a member of Trinamool which has caused severe attacks on his family repeatedly.
On Monday, Ashok Majumder was threatened to keep his shop closed, his shop was vandalized and then the BJP workers sought Rs. 50000 from Ashok Majumder.
After Ashok Majumder denied to pay them the amount, he was attacked. At a point, the miscreants attempted to attack Ashok Majumder with knife.
