AGARTALA, Nov 3 (TIWN): Police neutral role remains nowhere in state under Political pressure. After the Congress-BJP clash on Wednesday in Bishalgarh, four Congress workers were arrested by the police for their alleged involvement in the incident. but no BJP workers were detained by Police where BJP activists in broad Day-light fired towards Congress in presence of Police.
The arrested Congress activists were Praveer Sarkar of North Rautkhola area, Sohail Rana of Ghazaria Baillamura area, Bapan Das of Madhupur Nagar Para and Madhav Debnath of Madhupur School Hill.
Police have booked them under various sections including Arms Act and Explosives Act.
Moreover, two fresh bombs were recovered from the spot on Thursday morning. Bomb squad members later defused the bombs at a secluded spot in Central Lakshmibil area adjacent to Bishalgarh Bypass.
