AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): Attack was organized at Melaghar Power Station by public. GR2 employee of Electricity Department named Tapan Choudhury was also attacked.

Chairs, tables, telephone receivers and other items of the power department were vandalized by 10-12 persons. The incident happened at 10 o'clock last night.

Reportedly, for a long time Power was continuing in the Masterpara area. Centering this 10-12 youths visited Melaghar Power Station where they were demanding seamless power connectivity in the area. But when the official staff Tapan Choudhury told the youths to wait as staff will come after 10minutes to fix the Electricity issue in Masterpara area, the youths allegedly slapped Tapan Chowdhury and vandalized office chairs, tables, telephone receivers and other items.

A written case will be filed with the Melaghar police station on behalf of the electricity department in this regard.
