AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): Saying BJP regime has turned into a "Jungle Regime", Congress party MLA Sudip Barman on Friday has rubbished CCTV footage which was shown by BJP to prove Minister Bhagaban Das’s son Chandrashekhar Das was in Agartala during the rape incident on 19th October. The statement from Congress came after BJP Minister Sushanta Chowdhury gave a clean chit to Minister’s Rapist son Chandrashekhar Das though Sushanta Chowdhury was confused about the location of the Minister’s son and at first he said, Minister’s son Chandrashekhar was in Guwahati on rape incident day and then he again said Chandrashekhar was in Agartala.

Slamming the attempt of BJP to prove that Chandrashekhar was not in Kumarghat, Sudip Barman said, “The CCTV footage was clearly showing that it was fake and dramatized. The accused was looking continuously at the CCTV camera. Who does like that ?”

“The dates were edited, everything was fake……..”, said Barman adding that it’s BJP’s attempt to save the culprits.

Sudip Barman said, “We thought a Kushashan was ended and a Sushashan to start but today the so-called Sushashan has crossed the Kushashan era’s horrifying conditions of the law and order”.

Barman said, per month on average 13 murders happen in the state.

On the other hand, Minister Bhagaban Das has called opposition parties and the agitators “Dogs” who are barking behind “Elephants”.

The gangrape incident took place on 19th October where BJP workers were involved and arrested but even though BJP Minister Bhagaban Das’s son Chandrashekar’s name came out it took 1 week for police to release FIR where Chandrashekahr’s name was dropped.
