AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): Over ongoing rape cases one after another in a row amid the accused persons are roaming at free Congress MLA Sudip Barman in a press meet said, “Several incidents have tarnished state’s name, not only in our Country in entire world. In these rape incidents BJP’s leaders, workers are involved, and if somewhere BJP Minister’s son is also involved, somewhere else Deputy Pradhan’s name is involved".

In each of the rape cases, Govt is trying to suppress the incidents, alleged MLA Sudip Roy Barman. Besides he said that Police are capable of detaining the accused but the Police are not allowed to work accordingly.

Congress stated that on an average 13 rapes/gangrapes are happening in Tripura. 

Barman asked, why criminals should not be prosecuted just because they are politically backed ?
