A minor girl was gangraped on 19th October by BJP backed people after a BJP woman leader brought the girl to a hotel. Minister Bhagaban Das’s son Chandrashekhar Das’s name also came out amongst the accused but BJP allegedly manipulated the matter with the influence of the Minister and pressured on victim's family to withdraw Bhagaban Das’s son’s name from the FIR. Moreover, it took 7 days for Police to release a statement and as expected BJP Minister Bhagaban Das’s son’s name was not there in the FIR, but common men to opponent pollical parties have accused BJP Govt of manipulating the case.

Question also raised, whether Minister Sushanta Das has the authority to announce the exact location of Bhagaban Das’s son on the crime incident day? How can he be so sure that the rape accused Chandrashekhar was in Guwahati on 19th October? Sushanta Chowdhury’s statement is very crucial related to the case as he took the guarantee of the Minister’s son’s location in such a sensitive case.

After Kumarghat gangrape, another gangrape incident was reported in Khash-Kalyanpur area where all the rape accused persons are also BJP workers.
