AGARTALA, Oct 23 (TIWN): CPI-M MLA Prabhat Chowdhury on Sunday slammed the BJP for its cowardice attack on CPI-M families centering CPI-M’s rally on 21st October. Miscreants had set fire to CPI-M member Bijoya Talapatra's shop. Today, CPI-M MLA Prabhat Chowdhury and others met the victim's family and assured all kinds of support to them. CPI-M has sought compensation for the victim family from the State Govt. After the visit, CPI-M MLA Prabhat Chowdhury held a press meet, called BJP a party of cowards which has now no work except attacking the opposition as it has lost all mass-supports.
Prabhat Chowdhury said, “The BJP tried its best to down the program of CPI-M. From stopping vehicles to decrease numbers of bogies what had not been done by the BJP. When BJP could not succeed to flop CPI-M’s rally, then they organized house to house attacks in the darkness. Many were injured while returning from rally”.
“Bijoya Tapatra’s shop burning is another example of how much BJP is afraid of CPI-M as they lost all support from the masses”, Prabhat Chowdhury said condemning the attack.
