AGARTALA, Oct 21 (TIWN): CPI-M supporters from different parts of the state gathered at today's CPIM’s rally at Astabal ground. After the rally CPIM workers while returning home from Agartala to Shilachari by Bus No.- TR01B1426 in the area adjacent to the Santir Bazar new petrol pump, BJP goons organised an attack on the bus.

The CPI-M activists and supporters in the bus ran away for their lives when the bus was ambushed. Among the other CPIM supporters, Jontu Sheel (34), a resident of Shuknachhari under Shilachari police station was seriously injured.

Immediately after the accident, the police reached the spot and rescued the injured person from the spot and brought him to Santir Bazar district hospital for treatment. Presently, the injured person is undergoing treatment at Santir Bazar District Hospital.
