AGARTALA, Oct 17 (TIWN): Past Year in 10th Dec in Cabinet meeting it was decided to recruit 459 Pharmacists, but till today no notification of recruitment was published. In this running year-2022 on Aug-3 again a decision was taken to recruit Pharmacist of 200 posts. 2 months have passed since the Cabinet’s Decision and 2023 Tripura Assembly Poll is ahead, when notification will be published? Questions being circulated among Pharmacists passed out candidates whether Recruitment will be done in reality or not...!

Pharmacists Association criticised the ruling Govt over their role, the association clearly declared that they will not cooperate anymore.

Atanu Majumder, a member of Tripura Pharmacist Association claimed that several times they met with Department’s Authorities and Health Department’s officials but no positive output they had received as all claimed that ‘Notification will be published’. Recently the unemployed qualified Pharmacist met up with the Health Secretary and in response the Health Secretary said that ‘Notification will be published within 15 days’, but fact is a month crossed but No Notification is yet published. The candidates wanted to met with former sacked CM but could not, then they wanted to meet up with present CM Manik Saha but yet they didn't get any positive sign for the meeting.

In past December when decision was taken to recruit Pharmacists, the statistics of qualified unemployed candidates was 3,500 and now within a year it has risen to 4,500 in number. Every year the numbers of Unemployed candidates are being raised but there is no sign of recruitment and providing employment to the unemployed.

In Govt Hospitals there are shortages of Pharmacists, and the duties of Pharmacist are being done by Radiologists and other Health Staff. This is how with huge negligence the Hospitals are running through and the ruling Govt is not showing responsible manners to recruit Pharmacists.

In last December in Cabinet's meeting it was decided to recruit 22 candidates from Homeopathy, 25 from Ayurvedic but the Govt failed in Publishing Notification. In reality it has seen the Govt is only announcing various schemes and assuring of recruitment but in reality the Govt has failed to keep their given promises.
