AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): AAP-led Punjab Govt has started implementation of pre-poll promises immediately after it came into power. The AAP leadership which had promised to regularise the services of 36,000 employees as part of its pre-poll promises, has now started the process with the announcement of 8,736 teachers’ regularization. This has generated once again resentment among Tripura’s contractual employees under SSA, RMSA. BJP in its vision document assured that all contractual employees will be regularized once it is in power but now after 4.5 years of Govt, it could not fulfill its promise.
In case of SSA teachers, Tripura High Court has allowed regularizing the SSA teachers but the Govt has claimed that the Court’s order doesn’t say anything like that. SSA teachers have filed a petition in the Court.
SSA teachers and non-teaching staff who were promised by the BJP before 2018 Election that all contractual employees will be regularized if BJP was voted to power remain hopeless as the Govt has miserably failed to keep the promise. On Sep 1st, the SSA teachers met the project director raising the NC which means the No Certificate issue as many job holders were not brought under regularized scale even after completing the necessary courses. Before 2018 Election, SSA teachers were in hunger strike for 7 days and on that time Biplab Deb, Ratan Lal Nath and top BJP leaders shared the dais with the teachers and assured them that they will be regularized.
