AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): Storms of criticism erupted after Village Council Poll was postponed by the Election Commission of India due to lack of sufficient documents of the Brus including ration cards.

Criticism erupted against BJP Govt for delaying the process of Brus’ settlement which has caused a considerable delay in the Village Committee poll and there is no chance of the poll shortly.

It has been reported by various newspapers that it’s BJP’s self-created situation which is afraid to face the Village Council poll knowing is 100% defeat in it after the massive defeat in the ADC.

Tripura High Court ordered to include Brus’ name in the voter list and then to conduct the poll by November but the inclusion was not possible for the documentary lapses intentionally done by the State Govt.

Village council committee lapsed in 2021 March and now it has been more than one and half years that the ADC has no village council. Tripura BJP’s fear to face VC Poll is now exposed and the intentionally created circumstances by BJP Govt are also bare.

BJP's chief in ADC, opposition leader Hangsha Tripura also joined ADC ruling party Tipra Motha before few months.
