AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): BJP High Command's sudden decision about removal of Biplab Deb from CM post after receiving report of Deb's corruption and moral degradation, has turned the roads tough for many BJP leaders who have been close to the sacked CM Biplab Deb. The main issue started after CM Manik Saha started taking action against Drug-Smuggling rackets where top political leaders of Tripura are involved since the beginning starting from Durga Chandra Hrankhal’s murder in Boxonagar-like incidents. Taking the oppurtunity, Biplab Deb continues to play foul to regain his previous position.

However, various newspapers are publishing reports that there is massive infighting inside the BJP and Biplab Deb has been using Pratima Bhowmik, Rajib Bhattacharjee, and few others with the hope to return to state politics as he is now deported to Delhi as RS MP and Haryana observer of BJP.

Centering the upcoming Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) poll, infighting has raised to a high level.  Central BJP leadership has suggested state BJP avoid the poll and nominate one and taking the opportunity, sacked CM Biplab Deb’s close coterie’s nomination has been sent to the center and lots of complaint against Chief Minister Manik Saha was also sent to the centre.

BJP’s infighting may cause heavy chaos ahead of the 2023 poll as candidates’ selection also may turn into a major issue in the Assembly Poll.
