AGARTALA, Oct 14 (TIWN): There are a large number of kidney patients across Khowai District those who needs dialysis regularly to survive. Earlier patients had to rush to Agartala IGM Hospital only for dialysis. The State Health Department took this issue into consideration and started Dialysis Center at Khowai District Hospital. Dialysis services have been running in a room at Khowai District Hospital for the past three months with two seats capacity.

The organization that is handling dialysis in the IGM Hospital is also providing their services in Khowai District Hospital. But relatives of patients complained that Hospital Doctors are playing negligence and slow role in providing haemoglobin injections even to critical patients. Resulting, lacking of haemoglobin has erupted, which is equals to terrible situation.

Patient party complained that a patient needs to undergo dialysis thrice in a week, but after this dialysis, the haemoglobin in the patient's blood is decreasing. Doctors are supposed to give free 3 haemoglobin injections to every patient but they are not giving them, accordingly. As a result the patient party have to fight to collect haemoglobin injections.

MD Arnab Debbarma is in charge of this dialysis center and he has been continuing problem, allegedly. Not only that, where a specialist doctor takes care of the patients during dialysis at IGM Hospital, there Dialysis Technician is the only hope at Khowai District Hospital instead of a Specialist Doctor.
