AGARTALA, Oct 14 (TIWN): After six months of marriage, a housewife named Rumali Jamatia(21) fell seriously ill after consuming poison at her home in Amarpur area on Monday morning. After the incident her family members rescued her and first took her to a local hospital, from there she was referred to Udaipur Tepaniya Hospital and referred to GB Hospital for better treatment.

The 21-year-old housewife named Romali Jamatia got married to Ambasa SDM office worker Bikash Jamatia six months ago today. The husband of the housewife said that there was no turmoil in their family and he doesn’t know anything about why his wife chose to commit suicide.

However, the housewife succumbed to death on Thursday night while undergoing treatment at GB Hospital.

The housewife’s dead body was handed over to her family after a post-mortem on Friday. Her family collapsed in the hospital after news of the housewife's death spread.
