AGARTALA, Oct 14 (TIWN): A year before, interview was taken for Anganwadi temporary staff on 23 Feb, 2022 for permanent recruitment. Despite crossing a year, noticing negligence in recruitment the Anganwadi temporary staff placed deputation to CDPO Ayan Bhowmik of Kadamtala, Dharmanagar. Their demand is, interviews were conducted in 2021 but CDPO Ayan Bhowmik is neglecting to take up their issue not recruiting them despite having crossed a year.

Over the issue when the Anganwadi workers met CDPO Ayan Bhowmik, he reportedly expressed resentment. Later the workers gheraoed Bhowmik seeking proper reply when their matter will be resolved.

However, after an hour of gherao, Bhowmik talked to the staff and assured them that on the coming Tuesday their name list will be sent to the Higher Authority. After receiving assurance the Anganwadi staff withdrew the gherao.

During placing deputation, BMS secretary Subrata Rudra Pal was present.
