AGARTALA, Oct 14 (TIWN): Annually two examinations and an immediate recruitment process are no more existing in Tripura. Even though it was promised to recruit all TET qualifiers together before Durga puja but on Friday only 256 UGT and 258 GT teachers’ offer letters were accepted and then they will go for verification and then only other candidates’ recruitment is possible. For now 3108 TET qualifiers are jobless. Tripura has over 20000 vacant posts in teaching and with 10323 teachers’ termination, Tripura Govt’s salary expenditure has massively downed and so if it wanted, thousands of teachers could be recruited by today.

Earlier before 2018, whenever TET exam result was declared, candidates were given offer letter immediately but now the entire system has turned a propaganda machinery for the Govt and election promo which has stopped recruitment for years and ahead of election recruitment started and the Govt is hoping media praises.

BJP before 2018 election in Vision Document promised to fill up 50,000 vacancies within a year which were existing under the then Left Govt but now after 4.5 years also, BJP is far from those promises.
