UDAIPUR, Oct 12 (TIWN): FIR was lodged against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Dhajanagar Panchayat Pradhan under Udaipur subdivision after he allegedly beat up a woman member of his own area and also attacked her husband. The Panchayat Pradhan has been identified as Jayanta Kumar Shil. BJP Ward No-2 under Dhajanagar Panchayat member’s husband named Ranjit Sarkar on 30th September asked Jayanta Kumar Shil about road repairing in their area as due to Durga puja, people were demanding to fix the area. It generated verbal argument among the party members on spot and the Panchayat Pradhan had beaten him up saying “Who are you to ask me this”.
When Ranjit Sarkar’s wife reached the spot, she was also beaten up by the Pradhan.
Today, an FIR was lodged in R.K.Pur PS in this regard. The woman has sought justice saying, “When I complained to the Party leadership, I was told that a meeting will be organized to resolve the matter but it has been 1 week no meeting was held, forced me to raise the issue”.
