AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN): Alleging ‘no law and order’ remained anymore in Tripura, CPI-M has announced to boycott President Droupadi Murmu’s program at Rabindra Bhawan, Agartala.
In a statement, CPI-M state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury stated, centering President’s visit, a program will be organized and CPI-M State Secretary, MLAs, Ex-MPs have also been invited in the program but CPI-M has decided to boycott the program due to state’s worsening law and order situation.
CPI-M said in last 4.5 years, law and order has been perished in the state and continuous attacks are being taken place on party.
CPI-M hopes, such experiences will be eye-witnessed by the President herself and take action to restore the law and order.
The statement was given after many CPI-M workers yesterday were injured by BJP workers during a martyrs day program in the state.
