AGARTALA, Oct 11 (TIWN): Teliamura PS Police confiscated the smugglers along with the Cannabis. The incident took place on Tuesday in Teliamura Trishabari railway station area.
Teliamura PS SI Samaresh Chakma said,, Teliamura PS Police received information that a woman was roaming suspiciously in the area adjacent to Teliamura Trishabari railway station. The police as usual reached the railway station based on the information and suspiciously detained the woman named Sunita Devi resident of Bihar and seized a total of 4 packets of Cannabis weigh 10 kg.
It is known that the dry Cannabis was being taken from a place in Agartala with an intention to smuggling to outside the state of Bihar via Teliamura railway station.
According to local sources, the Teliamura GRP police often help smugglers in smuggling of ganja through commission trade. However, according to local sources the police of Teliamura police station quickly arrived at the railway station premises to arrest the ganja smugglers, but the GRP police could not be found in the railway station premises.
