BELONIA, Sep 28 (TIWN): Last night Belonia journalist Kalendra Tripura was attacked by some drug addicts and miscreants in front of Maichara Tahsil office. The journalist’s bike was taken away by the miscreants.
After getting the information, members of Journalist Union of Tripura Belonia rushed to Belonia police station with Kalendra Tripura.
Police arrested the two accused within hours of the incident and brought them to the police station. Journalists expressed satisfaction with this role of the police.
Members of the Journalist Union took journalist Kalendra Tripura to Belonia Hospital for treatment. However, the journalist was released after first aid and now stable.
