AGARTALA, January 11 (TIWN): Secretary of Tourism and Urban Development Ashutosh Jindal, a 1995-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Manipur Tripura cadre, has been appointed as joint secretary in the ministry of petroleum and natural gas.

He will replace Rajesh Kumar Singh, who will join the department of agriculture and cooperation as joint secretary.

As many as 11 joint secretary-level officials were appointed or reshuffled in various ministries in an order issued by the Narendra Modi government on late Friday night in the national capital. Ashutosh Jindal will be leaving the state shortly.
