AGARTALA, Sep 2 (TIWN): The food department of Teliamura sub-division raided the house of a businessman and recovered a large quantity of ration pulses. The incident took place on Thursday evening in Netajinagar area of Teliamura police station area.
According to the news, on the basis of tip-off, Teliyamura sub-division food department along with the police administration raided the house of a businessman named Babul Saha in Teliamura Netaji Nagar on Thursday evening. About 80 sacks of ration pulses were recovered from the trader Babul Das’s house, also a rice godown is sealed.
Sub-division Food Officer Subhankar Chowdhury, DCM Amit Roy Chowdhury, DCM Bappaditya Roy Bhowmik, Food Inspector Bhuttu Debvarma, Police Officer Ranabrata Ghosh were in the raid team.
The market value of the seized ration pulses is 2 lakh rupees and the seized pulses will be taken to Godown.
