AGARTALA, Sep 2 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath has thrown a challenge to journalists that he can prove the number of recruitments under the BJP era is highest than ever any Govt held in power. Nath was irked by questions from journalists regarding 10323 teachers and JRBT issues, saying that he believes a huge numbers of terminated 10323 teachers will get jobs under JRBT. Ratan Lal further said to the journalist who asked the question, “Take the challenge, please you get prepared next time and sit in front of me. If I can not prove that BJP Govt in last 5 years has given more jobs than any other Govt in Tripura, then I will quit”.

It can be mentioned here, BJP Govt immediately after coming into power cancelled all ongoing recruitments under the Left era promising a transparent recruitment policy will be introduced where only 10% will be kept in VIVA which will be video-graphed, but those fields were never fulfilled rather massive terminations took place.

With 10323 teachers’ terminations, Govt had not fulfilled even 3000 posts under the Education Dept and abolished thousands of posts.

Outsourcing can’t be considered a Govt job but has been counted in Govt data. Moreover, the announcement of jobs and jobs are not same just like JRBT can not be called recruitment unless the recruitment process is fulfilled. Data says, BJP which promised to give 50,000 Govt Jobs in a year could not give even 5,000 permanent jobs so far, rather with 10323 teachers’ terminations, employment goes at a minus numbers and budget expenditure was logically downed for employees. Retiring posts remain vacant in state and over 2000 NET,SLET, P.hd qualifiers are unemployed.
