Agartala, January 10 (TIWN): A malaria detection and treatment camp was organized by 15 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 21 Sect AR at Ratan Nagar village under Gandachera Sub–Division of Dhalai District today.
The camp was organized under the supervision of Dr. Satish Kumar, Chief Medical Officer along with medical staff and Captain Anil Kumar, Post Commander of Nabadapara Post of Assam Rifles.
This medical camp was specially organized on the request of MLA Lalit Mohan Tripura and to reach out to the most interior areas of the district and rendered its services to the villagers who were deprived of medical facilities.
The medical camp dealt with the most common ailment of the region like malaria which claims many lives every year. A total of 750 patients including approx 200 females and 250 children from Ratan Nagar and its adjacent villages turned up to avail the facilities of medical camp.
All the patients were meticulously examined and were given proper treatment for their ailment. Dr. Satish Kumar, Chief Medical Officer addressed the populace about malaria and informed them about the symptoms which leads to detection of Malaria at early stage.
Assam Rifles again highlighted their motto “Friends of North East People” and owed that such effort and project will also carry in future too. The villagers also appreciated and expressed their gratitude to The Commandant for the efforts made by 15 Assam Rifles for the humanitarian service rendered to them.
