AGARTALA, Aug 27 (TIWN): BJP leader and chief opposition leader in ADC Hangsha Tripura has quit party this week and joined Tipra Motha, the ruling party in ADC. After the political setback, BJP's new State President was appointed and also preparation for BJP National President J.P.Nadda’s arrival has been in full swing which is scheduled in Khumulwng on August 29. The rally is to be crucial ahead of Village Council election which has to be completed by November. Also, 2023 Election is knocking the doors which will be held after 5 months.
However, preparations on peak keeping the President’s visit. BJP has introduced a new State President Rajib Bhattacharjee just months after chief minister was replaced.
Tripura ADC has 20 seats reserved for ST out of 60 Assembly seats.
