AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): Deputy Chief Minister, BJP senior leader Jishnu Debbarman faced critical situations in his own constituency Charilam when he was trying to enter there centering a program of the BJP party. At first the agitators were protesting against BJP Vice President Patal Kanya’s entry. Later Jishnu Debbarman himself reached the spot which could not make over the situation and protesters continued to block the area with the ‘Go Back’ slogan. Police imposed lathi-charge, and threw tear gas to bring the situation under control.
BJP has alleged Tipra Motha and CPI-M behind the protest in Charilam.
BJP Vice President Patal Kanya Jamatia earlier also faced similar situations since she had joined BJP Party. Earlier, she was a regional party leader, filed NRC case in Supreme Court and allegedly collected hefty amounts from the common men assuring that she will bring NRC’s implementation to Tripura.
