UDAIPUR, Aug 26 (TIWN): 10323 teachers have continued their statewide protest demanding permission to join their schools. Till late night, the teachers had gheraoed the Education Office seeking termination letters or permission to join in schools. The teachers then released the office after giving a 15 days ultimatum. Question raises, what is the problem of the Education Dept to issue individual termination letters to the 10323 teachers ? On Thursday, the 10323 teachers met Dist Education Officer at Udaipur seeking permission to join schools.

Talking to media, an agitator said, “We have come here to get permission to join in our jobs. We have talked to the Dist Director and have shown our RTI paper and all other necessary documents which show that we are not a part of the SLP and so our jobs had never gone. Now, the Director Sir has sought time and talking to the higher authorities. We are expecting his reply”.

According to 10323 teachers, 462 persons were only terminated and not everyone was terminated.

“We either need permission to join and by name termination letter”, said 10323 teachers.

10323 teachers gathered in front of the District Education Office of the South District of Bilonia Mirzapur, raising the demand that they should either give a termination letter or they should be allowed to join schools. This protest was a part of statewide protest against the alleged illegal termination of the teachers. 10323 teachers came to the office of the South District Deputy Education Officer today to discuss about their demands and rights with the Education Officer. They said they want to resume work in their respective places showing the RTI copies in hand to the South District Education Officer.

As they did not agree, they blocked the main gate of the office. About two hundred and 10323 dismissed teachers from three sub-divisions of South District came to the office of the Education Officer of South District to present their demands.

The 10323 teachers further warned to go in massive protest if they do not get their joining right or termination letters.
