AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): The brick soling road of Khamartila in Lakshmi Narayanpur village under Khowai was not renovated. As a result the villagers expressed huge angst against the MLA, Prashanta Debbarma. It is known that Prashanta Debbarma, MLA of that area had promised the villagers that he would repair the broken brick-soled road once the government came to power. But 4.5 years crossed of BJP era but the MLA has not taken any initiative to renovate the broken road.
Due to the pathetic shape of the road often minor and major accidents are occurring on the road. Also common people of the village are facing frequent accidents while moving on this road. Local people complained that this road is more than 30 years old and no renovation of this road had been done even during the previous government era.
However, seeing zero response from the local MLA, the people of the village rushed to Kalyanpur MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury with a demand to repair the broken road.
The people of the village expressed their anger and said that if the road is not repaired immediately then they will block Khowai- Teliamura road.
