AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): Amid tall talks of ruling party MLAs, Ministers to take Tripura to the international level, the Govt has miserably failed to do its basic jobs like solving the load-shedding, and powercut problems of the state. Rural and ADC area’s are out of discussion but Municipal bodies suffer frequent powercut problems and sometimes even 20 times power continues to be on and off mode. Today at Rabindra Bhawan, Ratan Lal Nath, the Education Minister faced embarrassing situations after electricity had gone during his speech in a program under his Education Dept.
Heavy load shedding problems are though not a new problem in Tripura but BJP led state govt which assured to end that problem even increased electricity bills three times than earlier and finally privatized the TSECL but the outcome at the end of the day remained zero.
Tripura continues to sell 80% of its electricity production to outside whereas the fate of the people here has not changed. This holds expansion of business adding a negative rate to the investors.
