AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): CPI-M leaders on Wednesday met DGP Amitabha Ranjan and demanded law and order’s restoration in the state.
Addressing media, CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar said, “The previous DGP did not even meet with us but we thank the present DGP for meeting us at least”.
CPI-M has talked about the Jirania violence issue to the DGP and also described the ongoing situations, attacks on the common men in state.
On being asked, whether CPI-M demands President’s rule or not, Kar said, “Right now CPI-M has not decided about it but ofcourse Congress’s allegations are factual regarding law and order situation”.
CPI-M alleged at least 24 political murders happened in Tripura and the list to be sent to the DGP.
