AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): Sacked, former Chief Minister Biplab Deb for his family member had illegally occupied North Gate to Colonel Chowmuhani route from 9.30 am to 11 am and from 5 pm to 6.30 pm, which finally has been released after the new CM Manik Saha has taken the charge. Tripura Police on its social media posted, “For better public convenience, the existing One Way restriction from North Gate to Colonel Chowmohani between 0930 - 1100 Hrs & 1700 - 1830 has been withdrawn from immediate effect. Tripura Police is always for service of people #CMO”.
Netizens have hailed Tripura police for the decision as it was not only an office route but also hospital route.
This is not the one that was rectified by CM Manik Saha but Biplab Deb’s illegal helicopter uses have also been stopped.
DGP and CS both were replaced by the new CM Manik Saha.
Biplab Deb who had indulged in heavy corruption, illegally used public fund and even during Covid time forced GB hospital’s Govt Doctor to serve at CM residence like a servant for his family members.
Media freedom is also gradually restoring with Manik Saha’s arrival, where in Biplab Deb’s time Tripura’s name was ruined after BJP members in broad daylight burnt a newspaper house.
