AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): TSU placed a deputation to the Education Department raising various difficulties of school students, among which it has been mentioned that through the Vidyajyoti project attempts have been made to ignore Kokborok language.
Opposing this attempt of Govt the TSU members met Kajal Kumar Bhowmik who was on special duty for Vidyajyoti project and demanded to introduce the Kokborok language in Schools.
TSU Secretary Sujit Tripura alleged that the Left Govt had acknowledged the Kokborok language in Schools but under the BJP era in the past 4.5 years the Govt has allegedly taken an attempt to ignore Kokborok language in Schools.
Though, after meeting with the Vidyajyoti project officials, TSU leaders said that they were assured the officials will take up a responsible role in this matter.
