AGARTALA, Aug 23 (TIWN): BJP Vice President Mangal Debbarma who was arrested by police after villagers caught him red-handed with around 450 Kg Ganja was released in the early morning from Kamalpur Police station.

The seizure was clear and recorded on camera but instead of suspending Mangal Debbarma from the post, the party has been silent, and then he was released from Kamalpur Police station.

A large group of public in Khowai ADC village was eyeing to catch Mangal Debbarma's vehicle red-handed and on Sunday midnight, they were successful to catch the vehicle. Surprisingly, the Khowai police vehicle was guarding the vehicle of Mangal Debbarma, although the police refused to accept it. The entire area was put in darkness, no electricity was there during the smuggling and the locals with torch lights successfully nabbed the BJP Vice President’s vehicle which was going to Kamalpur from Khowai.
