KARBOOK, Aug 22 (TIWN): Locals at Korbook, Dhupchara, Buddha-mandir area blocked road in protest against deplorable road conditions there. The agitating people said they are not happy with the mud-filling on road as it turns the roads more deplorable during monsoons. Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s tall claims on Tax-Benefits in Road Maintenance under BJP Govt turned JUMLA. After over 4.5 years of tax rise, various roads are in miserable shape whereas ongoing projects suffer from poor quality of construction. Centering such roadways, heavy protest rows emerged in various places in the state of Tripura due to PWD Dept’s failure to maintain the roads. But there is no sign of outcome of the Minister’s claim and how far tax collection was increased in the sector and how much was utilized, it is a matter of clarification which yet to be declared from the Govt side.
