AGARTALA, Aug 15 (TIWN): “This is a day of pride and glory for the people of India because today India got Independence from the British tyranny. The true meaning of Independence will come when we will be successful to win over hatred and the antinational power which is trying to break the unity of the nation in the name of religion”, said CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury while addressing media at a rally organized on the occasion of Independence Day. Jitendra Chowdhury also stated with the national flags in hands, a group of miscreants is attacking the people, and this is a direct attack on democracy.
“Today we have to take oath to save this nation from these antinational elements and to uphold the democracy”, added Chowhdury.
CPI-M also organized various programs across Tripura to mark Independence Day. Flag was hoisted at Melarmath Party state quarter in the presence CPI-M State Committee members.
