AGARTALA, Aug 11 (TIWN): Sacked, former Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Thursday was spotted running with media persons from Banamlaipur which is his constituency to Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman’s constituency Agartala-6. Biplab Deb rode himself a bike, taking his security in his back seat. From there, Biplab Deb went to the Agartala-6 constituency which is Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman’s constituency and washed Mahatma Gandhi’s statue. On being asked by media, Biplab Deb said, “This is a part of Azadi-ka-Amrit-Mahotsav and all should be celebrating these upcoming days of India’s Independence”.

Biplab Deb was sacked from CM post and entire cabinet on May 14^th, 2022 due to corruption and some other issues noticed by the High Command.

He took an attempt to comeback through by-polls in July month but his self-targeted constituency Agartala-6 was lost by BJP as Sudip Roy Barman had won from Congress party. Nowadays, Biplab Deb is roaming in Agartala-6 constituency about which Sudip Roy Barman has declined to comment saying “Biplab Deb is politically expired”.
