AGARTALA, August 10 (TIWN): Power cuts hit in Ward No. 1 of Srimantapur Gram Panchayat under Sonamura PS, Power cuts in the area over 10 days, centering this locals blockade Sonamura Kathalia NH.

Due to road blockade traffic disrupted in the area during peak hours. Later Srimantapur village Panchayat deputy head Sultan Mia, social worker Zainal Abdin and others rushed to the spot on hearing the news of the blockade.

The blockade was lifted later when they were assured to solve the problem of electricity within the next two days.
