AGARTALA, August 6 (TIWN): Raising various demands CITU placed deputation to Labour Department. The demands were raised that the wage of Brick kiln labourers have to be increased in running area, social Pension should be provided to the labourers of Construction sites those who are above 55 Years old.

Demands were also raised to arrange pure drinking water, Scientific Toilet room and Electricity Connection to the Labourers of Brick kiln. To implement Rs 5 Lakhs for Brick kiln labourers for Bamboo Houses.

Over all 13 Points demands were raised by CITU, a CITU leader stated that nowadays labourers are facing difficulties as Govt works are not available. Under leftist era several Govt Construction works were happening for which bricks were needed now due to less work bricks are not needed resulting the making of bricks have become less around 50-60 Brick kilns have shut down, said the leader.
