CPI-M’s Youth Wing Activists were Arrested after Protesting against teachers’ Crisis : Police Brutality on agitators alleged

AGARTALA, Aug 3 (TIWN): On Wednesday CPI-M’s student wings SFI and TSU were arrested by police and brutality was alleged on them. The agitators were arrested after they gathered in Battala to protest against the ongoing teachers’ crisis which is one of the burning issues in the state along with 10323 teachers issue. Under BJP Govt exploitation of employees has been a fact either by engaging employees through outsourcing or contract basis, but the Govt is also indirectly exploiting the qualified unemployed youths by not giving them jobs and late-jobs mean low-benefits and shortening job tenures of an individual.

It’s happening amid Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath earlier assured to recruit all TET qualified candidates together as 14,000 posts are vacant and when Ratan Lal Nath said so, that time 10323 teachers are still in job but now in total over 25,000 posts are laid vacant if terminated 10323 teachers’ vacant posts are added.

Over 3,500 TET qualified youths are unemployed whereas around 7,000 are B.Ed undergoing or passed out.

Already around thousand schools were closed down but still teachers’ crisis has hit the Education system. Single digit teachers’ numbers are almost in every school of Tripura.

To protest against the teachers’ crisis, SFI and TSU members had gathered in Battala but they were arrested by police and taken to AD Nagar ground.
