AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): Anganwadi centre’s children are being deprived from getting mid-day meals, khichuri, eggs, biscuits, bananas, puffed rice and nothing being given to the students. Not only that the teacher, Shilpi Shukla Baidya is not coming to the Anganwadi center for a long time resulting the centre remaining closed for the past 22 days. Allegation raised against the teacher that she comes to the Anganwadi center once or twice in a week. The incident has been taking place at Anganwadi center of Karithali village of Ward No. 1 of Samarurpar village panchayat in Kailashahar. Locals are angst on the teacher Shilpi Shukla Baidya for her irresponsible role.

The women of the village openly said that the teacher of the Anganwadi Centre does not come to school regularly, resulting school children being deprived from getting education day after day. Not only that the teacher is not providing protein-rich food to pregnant women in the area, allegedly.

Whenever locals questioned the teacher in response she says the department does not have money, so food is not provided by the department, if food is provided by the department then the children will get food. The teacher also reportedly said that if anyone has any problem they can report it to the office.

Reportedly, CDPO of Chandipur Block and Vice Chairman of Chandipur Panchayat Samiti were informed, but on being asked the CDPO, L. Darlong he said, he was aware of the incident but could not give any proper answer about it.

According to CDPO office sources, CDPO is afraid to take any role against this teacher as she is reportedly a leftist leader.

Due to the irresponsible role of the teacher, children are being deprived from getting Education and Food.
