AGARTALA, August 2 (TIWN): On Monday centering the opening of Congress party office in Charilam a bloody clash erupted among Congress and BJP activists, where many Congress and BJP workers were injured.
After the clash Section-144 was imposed in Charilam to control the situation. But amid that, a man identified as Biikash Ghosh of Parimal Chowmuhani Fakiramura who joined Congress party in Charilam on Monday faced consequences. For joining Congress Biikash’s brother's shop was set on fire and their house was vandalized.
Besides, miscreants vandalized and set fire to Jhutan Debnath's shop in Bishalgarh North Brajapur.
Congress leaders visited the affected areas.
Centering the vandalism and sabotage fire, panic generated in the area.
