AGARTALA, July 30 (TIWN): Amid the ongoing teachers’ and professors’ crisis in Tripura schools, Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath told the media that Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha is very positive about the Education sector and its needs and already teachers’ professors’ recruitments are underway for that. Reacting to certain queries from the media, Nath informed me, that for the first time in Tripura for B.Ed colleges regular lecturers will be recruited and TPSC has been asked to conduct the exams. In various degree colleges, 40 professors will be recruited along with 20 regular principals as so far only 2-degree colleges have principals. By that time guests, and lecturers may be recruited and colleges have been permitted to do so, added the Minister. On being asked about the Covid situation-related issues in schools, Ratan Lal Nath said, it is totally under the Health Dept and Education Dept will follow accordingly whatever is guided by the dept.
Teachers’ crisis continues to disrupt the basic Education system in Tripura schools.
From various schools, similar complaints are coming out as teachers’ drought is a real issue.
Tripura is loaded with unemployment rates where over 3,500 TET qualified youths are unemployed but the State Govt has no intention to recruit sufficient numbers of teachers.
