AGARTALA, July 29 (TIWN): Biplab Deb is the first former Chief Minister of Tripura who is not vacating the CM quarter even after 2 months of his tenure ended since BJP High Command had terminated him from the post, replacing him with new CM Manik Saha. BJP National General Secretary V.L.Santosh who was in a 2-days-visit in Tripura neither met Biplab Deb separately, nor he talked to him during the entire meeting where Biplab Deb entered as an unwanted guest to BJP’s Krishnanagar headquarter. On Thursday, Biplab Deb walked a rally of BJP where no BJP MLA had joined except him. However, his close friends like Papia Datta, Rajib Bhattacharjee accompanied him mostly. When Biplab Deb was talking to media though nobody was seen around him.

Amid being neglected by the Central BJP, Biplab however is trying hard to keep his face either by inaugurating small functions, festivals or walking on road but Biplab Deb’s road in the upcoming 2023 poll is going be tough for him as it’s not sure, whether he will get a ticket in 2023 poll from Banamalipur, or not.

With self-interest Biplab Deb set a target to defeat Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman in Agartala-6 constituency via his another friend Ashok Sinha in the recently held by poll but the outcome of his effort was that it was the only seat where BJP could not win out of four by-poll seats.

On the other hand, Biplab Deb’s corrupt group was slashed from the administration starting from Kumar Alok’s banishment from Chief Secretary post to DGP V.S. Yadav’s drop from DGP post.

Biplab Deb was sacked from CM post on May 13 followed by allegations against him of corruption and moral character degradation.
