AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): Tripura Education cum Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath who brought former CPI-M Minister Badal Chowdhury into media trial calling him a ‘Big Thief’ has failed to prove anything yet against Badal Chowdhury in the PWD’s construction work case as police failed to file charge-sheet after months of drama continued centering Badal Chowdhury’s arrest. It’s an open secret that Badal Chowdhury, who has been carrying a spotless political career was targeted by Ratan Lal Nath in a reply of revenge for an incident where in 2017, Ratan Lal Nath was rebuked by Badal Chowdhury for his unethical activities in the Assembly. Being a Congress MLA, Ratan Lal Nath was talking in favour of BJP and criticising Congress and CPI-M, led Badal Chowdhury to ask him, “From which party have you come here and what are you saying !!! keep some basic manner in the Assembly”.
After 2018, Ratan Lal Nath proceeded a case against Badal Chowdhury calling it a “Nature’s Rule of History” and lifted the bedridden former Minister from the hospital though police and harassed him in West PS which caused an emergency shifting of Badal Chowdhury to GB hospital.
Ratan Lal Nath also told media in BJP Party office taking the Police file in his hand, “Badal Chowdhury’s political career is over !”
Even the justice system came under question mark on that time and Calcutta High Court’s famours lawyer Bikash Bhattacharjee could not do anything in support of Badal Chowdhury. Along with Badal Chowdhury two retired officers Y.P.Singh and Chief Engineer Sunil Bhowmik were arrested.
However, when Ratan Lal Nath is now vocal over ED’s investigation and exposes of West Bengal Bengal teachers’ recruitment corruption, why is he silent over the Badal Chowdhury case? Why his master plan against Communist could not work out to punish Badal Chowdhury ?
New CM Manik Saha however recently met Badal Chowdhury when he was hospitalized displaying political gentle gesture.
Recently, BJP MLA Arun Chandra Bhowmik has demanded a CBI investigation into Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s property’s massive rise in the last few years.
