AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): Coming out of Opposition Leader Manik Sarkar’s chamber Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman said that internal talks are underway among the oppositions but in details nothing can be disclosed before any solution comes out. On being asked by media about the oppositions’ all party meeting, Sudip Roy Barman said, “Very soon it will be held, and before that media will first come to know about this”. Sudip Roy Barman entered Manik Sarkar’s chamber after he cast vote in the Presidential Poll. Along with Sudip Barman at Manik Sarkar’s chamber, few other CPI-M senior MLAs were seen, sharing tea.
After the meeting was over, Barman told media, “This meeting was just a courtesy meeting. It shows we have not become uncultured yet in politics. After I cast vote, was passing in front of Manik Sarkar’s chamber and decided to meet him to thank him for his visit to ILS when I was admitted there”
“To convey my gratitude and to thanks him, I have met him. No ruling party (BJP) leader went to meet me in the hospital but Manik Sarkar met me there, though I was not in a condition to talk to him on that time………..”, Barman told media remembering the deadly pre-poll attack on him ahead of recently held by poll by BJP miscreants, which was conducted by one of the Cabinet Ministers of the BJP Govt.
Sudip Roy Barman was a Cabinet Minister of the Tripura BJP Govt and resigned over dispute with Biplab Deb (who was recently sacked from CM post) and joined Congress. On 26th June, Barman won by-poll, taking Congress into Tripura Assembly after 7 years.
