AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): Top ruling BJP party leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarman on Monday claimed that BJP is the symbol of Democracy as first time a Janajati leader has been made a Presidential candidate.

Reacting to such claims, Manik Sarkar, who is the former CM of Tripura and also the leader of the opposition said, “Yes, of course! Because it was the first poll where all voters could cast votes”.

“Here MLAs are voters but what about the other elections held in Tripura since 2018 ? How many voters were allowed to cast votes ?”, said Sarkar recalling the massive poll rigging in Lok Sabha and By-Polls.

On being asked by media, what is his prediction about Presidential poll results, Manik Sarkar said, “As per the newspaper and reports’ data, there is an assumption but before the opening of the boxes how can a personal prediction be declared? It will be a foolishness to say anything in advance”
